Set up your LQD account and get your team onboard

Getting Started with LQD

This guide will help you set up your LQD account and get your bar or restaurant team up and running quickly.

Account Setup

Step 1: Sign Up

  1. Visit https://lqd.rocks
  2. Click "Sign up" to create your account
  3. Enter your email address and create a password
  4. Verify your email address when prompted

Step 2: Choose Your Plan

Select the plan that best fits your team size:

  • Splash Plan: Up to 5 employees - Perfect for small teams
  • Flow Plan: Up to 100 employees - Ideal for growing operations
  • Wave Plan: Unlimited team size - Best for large establishments

Step 3: Set Up Your Organization

  1. Enter your business name
  2. Add your business address and contact information
  3. Upload your business logo (optional)
  4. Configure your timezone and business hours

Team Setup

Adding Team Members

  1. Navigate to the Organizations section
  2. Click Invite to add team members
  3. Enter their email addresses
  4. Assign roles:
    • Admin: Full access to all features
    • Manager: Can manage menus, logs, and team communication
    • Staff: Can view announcements and updates

Initial Configuration

Setting Up Your Menus

  1. Go to Menus in the navigation
  2. Click Create Menu
  3. Choose menu type:
    • Food Menu
    • Cocktail Menu
    • Wine List
    • Beer Menu
  4. Add your items with descriptions and pricing
  5. Publish when ready

Configuring the 86 List

The 86 list tracks items that are temporarily unavailable:

  1. Navigate to any menu
  2. Click on an item to mark it as "86'd"
  3. Add a reason (e.g., "Out of stock", "Prep issue")
  4. Team members will be automatically notified

Setting Up Onboarding Flows

Create structured onboarding for new hires:

  1. Go to Team Onboarding
  2. Click Create Flow
  3. Add onboarding steps:
    • Welcome & Introduction
    • Safety Training
    • Menu Knowledge
    • POS System Training
    • Role-specific tasks
  4. Assign flows to new team members

Daily Operations

Using the Message Wall

Keep your team informed with the message wall:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard
  2. Use the Quick Actions section
  3. Post announcements about:
    • Daily specials
    • Shift changes
    • Important updates
    • Schedule changes

Manager's Log

Track daily events and important notes:

  1. Go to Manager's Log
  2. Create daily entries with:
    • Date and time
    • Event description
    • Staff involved
    • Follow-up actions needed

Mobile Access

LQD works seamlessly on mobile devices:

  • Responsive Design: Access all features from phones and tablets
  • Real-time Updates: Get instant notifications on your mobile device
  • Offline Capability: View critical information even without internet

Tips for Success

For Managers

  • Post daily announcements to keep everyone informed
  • Use the 86 list proactively to prevent order issues
  • Review the Manager's Log regularly for operational insights
  • Set up onboarding flows before new hires start

For Staff

  • Check the message wall at the start of each shift
  • Review menu updates and 86 list before service
  • Complete onboarding tasks promptly
  • Report issues through the proper channels
